I still can’t believe that Apple sent me the new Vision Pro with the M5 early to test and review. I’ve been testing it non-stop for almost a week now — and this is my full review, in my best bad German accent. Spoiler: It‘s a much bigger upgrade than you might think.

Open Mac apps on your iPhone with my new app choclift 🍫 After extending my Mac screen with Vision Pro, I wanted even more connectivity between devices so I explored the advantage of having a separate user interface just for app management. It seems simple but it actually allows for a lot of new workflows and use-cases as you might think. Everyone works differently so we’re building this app as a platform that will support many different workflows, beyond just opening apps. Stay tuned as I’ll be sharing more in the coming weeks.

@nocode_guy @SpatiallyMe It's a virtual Mac display via Apple Vision Pro (Mac Virtual Display feature). Phil confirmed in a thread reply: the whole video was 100% shot on Vision Pro by placing a virtual screen and filming from the side. No physical monitor involved.

@SpatiallyMe Hit CMD + Spacebar on your Mac and start typing any app then hit enter and it opens. I bet I can do it faster than you can reach over to your phone. Looks beautiful though!!

@soamjena No, this was 100% shot on Vision Pro. It's possible to place a virtual display somewhere and film from the side.

@SpatiallyMe Im on same but it only allowed to shoot screen record with the flat 2D. But your video shows a 3D view with side profile of the whole screen. How was that achieved ?

@SpatiallyMe Hold on, so instead of clicking your mouse on an icon in the dock, you have to unlock your iPhone, open the Choco-app, move a toggle and swipe right three times to get to the app you want to open on your Mac?

Yo this looks super clean @SpatiallyMe 🔥 Been building something super similar with Droplet — iPhone as a remote Mac dashboard for quick app/workflow launches. Love how you're turning it into a full platform for custom workflows. The cross-device connectivity angle is huge. Excited to see where you take it

@SpatiallyMe If you added this as a iPhone Standby feature, this would be perfect. I always have my phone on a MagSafe charger in front of me and I can tap this to open specific apps or run some workflows.
