Yesterday’s human rights panel was honestly one of the most engaging and thought-provoking sessions I’ve followed in a long time. Human rights lawyer Toby Mendel @TobyMendel laid out the broader framework of international law with clarity. Mehmet Efe Çaman @derinrejim spoke powerfully about the pressures faced by communities such as Kurds, Alevis, and faith-based groups in Turkey, grounding it in real examples. Filmmaker Joanne Hodge @hodgesjoanne challenged us to think deeper about what justice truly means—and why formal systems alone are often not enough. In many ways, it felt like a live reflection of the theme we’re preparing for our upcoming youth forum: “From Stigma to Solidarity.” My sincere thanks to Northern Justice Watch @NJusticeWatch and everyone involved—speakers, organizers, and participants—for making this such a meaningful conversation. #justice #alevi #yazidi #tigray #kurdish
