I'm listening to CBC Radio right now, they're interviewing a playwright who writes a lot about loss. I have spent the last few years trying to mentally prepare myself for the losses I dread most as I caregive for my parents 24-7 with a father fighting cancer. I've realized there is absolutely nothing I can do to prepare myself for that moment. People say make sure you have no regrets. That is literally impossible. It is impossible to anticipate in the moment of loss what you will regret and wish you had done. I know no matter what, the anguish of loss will grip and terrorize me with "i should have....". That. Is. Unavoidable. If. You. Are. A. Human.

I finally summoned the strength to access MyChart to learn more about my baby, David. The tissue exam revealed that his head, neck, eyes, lips, trunk, genitalia and extremities were all normally formed. He weighed 182g (how cute 😍) My son David was perfect. #pregnancyloss
