Please hear me out…. I’m not just seeing this behavior from Joe Kent. I’ve seen this lately from multiple veterans. My heart absolutely bleeds for our veterans. I pray for them and their families with tears in my eyes every single day. I honor their sacrifice like nothing else on this earth. But what is shattering me right now…what’s ripping my soul apart…is watching a handful of these same heroes turn into arrogant, entitled bullies who sneer down at the hardworking civilians who keep America alive every day. You served? God bless you forever. But that doesn’t make you omniscient. It doesn’t hand you President Trump’s classified intel, his God-given vision, or the brutal truth he carries on his shoulders for all of us. Stop acting like your uniform gives you a throne to lord over the rest of us “lesser” patriots! You’re breaking the very unity you bled for. You’re desecrating the sacred sacrifice you made for this nation by sowing division, condescension, and pure ego. I love you, veterans. But this behavior? It has to stop. Please.🙏🏽

Donald Trump was overwhelmingly elected by the American people to be our President and Commander in Chief. As our Commander in Chief, he is responsible for determining what is and is not an imminent threat, and whether or not to take action he deems necessary to protect the safety and security of our troops, the American people and our country.  The Office of the Director of National Intelligence is responsible for helping coordinate and integrate all intelligence to provide the President and Commander in Chief with the best information available to inform his decisions.  After carefully reviewing all the information before him, President Trump concluded that the terrorist Islamist regime in Iran posed an imminent threat and he took action based on that conclusion.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

Seriously? You think you’re going to retain any credibility by claiming that we prepared for months to use military force to clear the Strait of Hormuz, but now 13 days into a war with Iran after they closed it down and we still haven’t moved? There’s no reality to this claim at all. This is more evidence of an administration flailing in the wind, trying to use words to hide behind a grotesque failure of strategy, with no idea what to do next. Things just keep going from bad to worse…
