🎉 After two years of building it off and on, my little side project app is done: Habik: Life Manager! The premise is that you can do hard things. You break them down, and take them one day at a time. Habik takes the guesswork (and the self-negotiation) out of what to do today.

For most of my career, the hard part of building was the distance between the idea and making it real. The cost was all the important ideas that never solved the problems they were meant to. Times, they are a-changin’. The easy story about AI is that it makes generating cheaper. True—but IMO not the important part. What’s really changing is how much ambition a small team, or even a single person with taste and intent, can bring into the world. So what do we build? And how do we build well—for good? Did you hear that nearly 1 in 3 managers who replaced people w/AI are rehiring *people* for the same jobs & 55% regret the layoffs? It's not that AI doesn't work, human judgment was never the expensive part — losing it is. Keep the people and amplify them.

There's so much I want to do here but the site has been relatively low on the todo list as we get other parts of the ground. Silly me to think folks didn't care too much about the foundation web site!

Over the past few days I've gotten lot of thoughtful -- and otherwise -- feedback about the react.foundation web site. Thanks to those who have reached out and offered kindness and help! We are a small group currently -- just me and a couple of PMs -- so the fact that folks are offering to roll up their sleeves is awesome! Thank you!

The first step towards open governance for React Native is for its repository to become GitHub-first (rather than its GitHub repo being a mirror of the Facebook internal one), like I believe React is. This org rename is likely a move towards that.
