In fact, these kinds of buildings (we call them apartman) were first built mostly by Italians in Turkey (especially Istanbul) in the late 1800s. Then, in the 1950s, they were spread across Turkey (maybe with more urbanist looks without esthetics).

@sethyxis @Jan__Sobieski Περί αρχιτεκτονικής υποδομών είμαστε στο πάτο γενικά λογικό αφού έχουμε λαό που είναι απομεινάρια Οθωμανών, ίδια λογική με την ανατολή. Στο εξωτερικό υπάρχουν ξένοι αλλά ως υποδομές είναι μελετημένες σωστά και μιλάω για χώρες που έχω ζήσει όχι γενικά .

@RealOdysseas Here's an example of western Mediterranean cities in Italy and Spain. I highly doubt most ppl could tell this isn't Greece if you called it Greece Also most ppl would find it equally 3rd worldly and middle-Eastern

@ProfilStandard I've heard a theory that Greeks used to view themselves as more part of the "Orient" ("Ottoman/Byzantine"), but in modern times they identify more with the Western world & Europe
