As an immigrant myself, today's arguments on birthright citizenship are deeply personal to me. The 14th Amendment is clear: the children of immigrants are guaranteed US citizenship. Despite President Trump's wishes, he cannot rewrite the Constitution.

This makes a mockery of Canada’s asylum system.
45,000 claims rubber stamped, without a hearing.
That explains why the acceptance rate has doubled under the Liberal government, and why the number of claims made increased nearly 20x, from 10,000 to 180,000!
Word went out that making an asylum claim from certain countries would be an automatic ticket to permanent residency in Canada.
This is a huge, gaping hole in the integrity of our immigration system.
Urgent action is needed.
We don’t need studies or delays. We know what works.
Restore the Harper government’s hugely successful 2010 asylum reforms in their entirety.
