@JeremyRedfernFL @MiamiHerald Oh, I don't know. Alexandra's question seems very straight forward and easy to answer. Why you and Jim spend time whining online about a journalist's softball inquiry instead of just answering it is really something. But that's your MO, Jer. Always has been.

Reporting things about a “pending criminal investigation” that they know to be false could get pretty expensive for the @MiamiHerald.

If there’s any truth to what Alex Glorioso is reporting—that there is a grand jury presentment—this would mean any supposed criminal investigation is over with zero criminal indictments. But the press won’t ever report that, will they?

@AGJamesUthmeier “I don’t write the law — I enforce it,” Uthmeier said. “If people are here illegally, then they are breaking the law, and we are going to enforce it.” Now do open carry, Jim. The thing is I doubt you even see the contradiction. If you do, you're even worse than Andrade says.

Florida's fentanyl deaths are declining and violent crime is dropping, and it's because the law is being enforced.

@AlexLanfran Did they vote for over half a *billion* (with a B) dollars of state taxpayer monies going to what should be a federal project? And don't tell us that the fed is going to reimburse Florida because everyone knows Trump's reputation for THAT.

@SenAshleyMoody A "citizenship check" is conducted before voting for every single voter. It's called the registration application. Each voter has to attest to their US citizenship on it. Do you seriously think that a "check" is needed each and every time an election of any kind is held?

In Florida, home of the Space Coast, we understand nothing launches without verification. Before liftoff: ✔️ Fuel check ✔️ Systems check ✔️ Safety check Before voting: 🗳️ Citizenship check It just makes sense. Let’s pass the SAVE America Act.

@JamesUthmeierFL @JeremyRedfernFL Exactly. Only the AG’s office is allowed to abdicate their legal responsibilities…even while shaking their finger at others. You all aren’t serious people.

Under Florida law, local officials don’t have discretion here to abdicate legal responsibility.

.@AGJamesUthmeier on locals impeding immigration enforcement: "We've got a law on the books, passed last February, local officials have a duty to help the federal government... if city officials think they know better than the law, we are going to stand in their way."

While state attorneys have wide discretion over individual prosecutorial decisions, they must answer to the state's chief executive in cases of "malfeasance, misfeasance, neglect of duty, drunkenness, incompetence, permanent inability to perform official duties, or commission of a felony," which is part of the governor's suspension power mentioned in the Florida Constitution. The AG is a statewide office of public trust and "may exercise all such authority as the public interest requires. And the attorney general has wide discretion in making the determination as to the public interest." same case as above⬆️

The ignorance of the Florida press never ceases to amaze. Unlike state attorneys (prosecutors), the Attorney General has the authority to issue advisory opinions on matters of law. That authority isn't just based on statute but on hundreds of years of common law.
Scott Maxwell@Scott_Maxwell

Florida's governor said any prosecutor who refuses to enforce the law should be removed from office - until his own A.G. decided to stop enforcing laws meant to ensure minorities get fairly treated. Including laws that merely called for collecting data. orlandosentinel.com/2026/02/06/flo…

We will not tolerate educators encouraging school protests and pushing their political views onto students, especially ones that disparage law enforcement. Under the leadership of @GovRonDeSantis, Florida’s education system is focused on student achievement, not ideology. Classroom instruction provides students with the academic foundation they need to succeed, and schools must protect that time.

@AlexLanfran The DeSantis cabinet is like a group of guys who just stuck up a bank and are riding off down the road laughing and high-fiving each other because they think they got away with it. Maybe they did. They're still criminals. And, yeah, they know it.

@JayCollinsFL "real Republican" WTF is a "real Republican" these days, Jay, because it sure as hell isn't the limited government, fiscally conservative, law & order, "individual liberty" ones I used to know. Last week we found out it isn't even that interested in 2A. Nice performance though.

Clear conflict of interest here. Alex claims he’s a Republican, but then stays silent as his coworkers defend those who kill innocent children in the womb. He’s tried repeatedly to stiff arm real Republicans every step of the way, and should in no way be leading any conservative efforts. No wonder he was MIA on Amendment 4. He should recuse himself as chair…

We recently sued Planned Parenthood for deceiving and endangering countless Florida women. Rep. @RAlexAndradeFL’s law firm is now defending Planned Parenthood in court. He chairs a healthcare subcommittee in the FL legislature while profiting from abortions. Unacceptable!

Effective today, Lexie Lawler is no longer allowed to practice nursing in Florida. Making statements that wish pain and suffering on anyone, when those statements are directly related to one's practice, is an ethical red line we should not cross. I'm proud of @FLSurgeonGen for taking this decisive action.

Starbucks used DEI to implement illegal race-based policies for hiring and advancement. Using DEI as an excuse to hire, promote, or humiliate an employee based on race violates Florida's civil rights law, and we just filed a lawsuit to hold Starbucks accountable.
