This week 47 new trainees began their 14 week intensive initial training course at @fire_scot National Training Centre Glasgow. Over the course they will get training on all aspects of the role of a #FireFighter. #GetToWork #FutureFireFighters #WeAreSFRS

The culmination of a 2 week On-Call BA and Fire behaviour initial course. 12 students from various stations across all service delivery areas. They are now able to increase the resilience and frontline delivery to communities across the country #WeAreSFRS

Today, a group of @fire_scot trainees attended the Remembrance Day Ceremony in #Glasgow. Their first ever ceremonial duty as members of #SFRS. Joining colleagues, senior officers & partners from @PoliceScotland standing on parade at George Square. #RemembranceSunday #WeAreSFRS

Today marks #ArmisticeDay. A day for us all to reflect on the sacrifices made by all those who died during two World Wars and subsequent conflicts. SFRS staff will join the country at 11am to pay our respects to all those who lost their lives. #LestWeForget

This week marks the end of TTM training for @fire_scot Trainee courses #T522 & #T622. Next week they'll be assessed on these skills, demonstrating #Safety & #Teamwork while carrying out complex drills. A lot of hard work & commitment from @sfrs_trainees and their instructors. 🚒

Week 2 for the @fire_scot trainees of courses #T522 & #T622. The beginning of in depth practical module covering all the core skills required of a #Firefighter such as Ladder pitching 🪜, Rope working 🪢 and Pump operation 🚒. The hard work now begins! #WeAreSFRS #Teamwork

This month 96 new trainees started their new career with @fire_scot, over the next 13 weeks they will be #challenged & #inspired to evolve into the role of a Firefighter! With week 1 introductory elements complete the trainees will move on to learn core practical skills 🚒🪜🔥
