I genuinely do not understand the global economy. Last 3 months have been so fucking bizarre. The strait is *still* closed, 20% of the world’s oil has been offline for months, fertilizer and LNG shortages, etc., etc., and oil (futures) is at $78.36 and dow jones highest ever lmao

Visited a friend who just sold her 5-room HDB flat for $1.4M yesterday.
Another friend selling her 4-room HDB for $1.3M.
Both just upgraded — one into a $1.8M resale condo, the other a $2M new EC.
Both complaining about the loans they took to get there.
Their reasoning? "This is how you build wealth in Singapore."
But here's what I actually saw.
Two families in their mid-forties. Strapped to massive mortgages. Freedom quietly traded away for square footage.
That's not wealth-building. That's a gilded invisible cage.
To a man with a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Five years of exponential property prices will do that to you - recency bias at play.

In my opinion @NEARProtocol here isn't competing with any chains.
It's selling them a feature they can't build themselves. That chart isn't NEAR's users. It's everyone else's liquidity borrowing NEAR's privacy and that TAM isn't one ecosystem, it's all of them.
The market is still pricing $NEAR as an L1 while it’s quietly becoming the layer the other chains settle through + AI boom.
This will just go higher🤝
