Actor Oliver Reed died while filming Gladiator in Malta after challenging Royal Navy sailors to a drinking contest. He consumed 3 bottles of Captain Morgan’s Jamaica rum, 8 bottles of German beer, and numerous cognacs, then still managed to beat several sailors in arm-wrestling. Moments later, he collapsed in the pub and passed away on the way to the hospital. He died like a true gladiator.

Some guy went to comic conventions for years, carried this book with him, stood in line to meet all these famous comic writers and artists, and got them all to sign it.
Then he died, and someone threw his treasured possessions in a box and donated it to Goodwill. Nobody was close enough to him in his life to even know what this was.
