@JaBeanus @sapphicyennefer the Chloe orphanage sequence i think is the biggest indicator of this, felt clearly rushed and underdeveloped. there no concept art showing the inside of the orphanage and the voice actor for Chloe is CLEARLY a grown woman despite the voice actor for Emily being completely fine

@sapphicyennefer You can tell this game went through multiple rewrites. The later half of the game is filled with so much nonsensical story and rug pulls, I am honestly baffled at how random most of it was. RE games aren't known for their incredible storytelling, but damn it got messy.

@illusionsMD @BenjiGameDev agreed. big issue I had with 8 and 9 (and somewhat 4 remake) is the inventory size for the attache case is monstrous, I genuinely cannot imagine using all the space, there is no plausible way even a casual gamer could even need an upgrade. am I that far removed from casual play?

This is actually an issue I've brought up multiple times in the past. As a long time RE player I don't enjoy the games as MUCH as I wish I could anymore. The horror isn't as impactful anymore. The gunplay is too easy now. Resource management isn't hard anymore. These games are built and designed for a casual player and I don't disagree that's how they should be. I wish we had a little more of an in-between point for this title because insanity is a meme difficulty. And standard classic isn't difficult enough for a lot of the old players. It's hard to balance these things though for experienced players, I get that. Unlucky. But it's lead to a lesser enjoyment of the RE series in recent years for me personally.

adding an auto-sort button might be one of the worst things RE4R did it just removes all of the satisfaction from sorting your inventory this was like crack to me in the original
