@runebee Given the history of re movies I couldn't agree more. I dont trust anyone to make a good re adaptation. Weapons was great this guy is good. But. I need to see a good re movie before I believe lol

I know its a bummer for people not to see their favorite game or characters adapted properly, but I think this is a much better route. It allows way more freedom.
The GAMES often introduce new protagonists and tell new stories. I see this movie as an extension of that.

Resident Evil movie and Weapons director Zach Cregger was interviewed by The New York Times about his reboot. ▪️He's already beaten RE 9 twice. ▪️He is the biggest worshipper of the games, and his movie is not breaking the rules of the games. ▪️This film has a much bigger budget than Weapons, and Cregger was given carte blanche to reinvent RE with this film. ▪️Does not adapt to any specific story from the games, and contains no characters from any of the games.

@shaankelly91 It's not constant as in a flashing strobe-like. It's constant as in like every 5-10 seconds or so in a fight (because the camera reloading) and then every few seconds during a cutscene. There's periods of exploring where it's quiet and it's the best part lmao

I really want to like Fatal Frame 2 Remake. But the constant white flashes (in cutscenes and from the camera obscura) gives me such bad eye strain. It genuinely affects my enjoyment. And I love the Fatal Frame series :/ It never felt this bad before.

@runebee Yeah hes very good. Game is excellent 9/10 top tier re to me. I loved almost everything about it outside a few nitpicks. Gideon is one of those things I love. Just wanna beat my 2nd run then excited to join a stream/watch yourself first run vod as well. Glad you're enjoying

Gideon's one of my favorite RE villains. He has so much presence and personality. I'm sure a lot of is in the performance/direction, but he's genuinely so interesting to watch. Even the motivation type stuff, but I'd need to get into spoiler territory for the specifics...

Its been exactly one year since my sweet boy passed :(.

I think its funny to make a joke comment/critique about stuff i like or dislike, but people take it so serious. And I think thats a problem too that some people take what others say WAY TOO SERIOUS.
Not everyone is typing stuff with the intent to have it be dissected.

This is so true, it’s SO IMPORTANT how you speak about topics because often any bias good or negative will be clear as day. Saying something sucks or is shit will just get you ignored because you’re not actually saying anything. Don’t soften your criticisms but also don’t exaggerate them. Can’t tell you how many times I see people refer to games/mechanics that are mediocre or just ok, but the way people talk about them it’s like they’re a disgrace to the genre.
