@FoodProfessor Yeah because that’s all Canadians can afford. Spam will likely make a big comeback too.

Back in 2024, in an unprecedented move, the Supreme Court of Canada accepted an $18k gift: the bust of the current Chief Justice. It’s the first time the Court refuses to disclose the donor, and displays it while the Chief Justice is still sitting. Yes, this is a huge problem.

@garymasonglobe What does he have to do? What else? Carney could literally kill a puppy live on tv and you’d say cats are now safer. Carney has done absolutely nothing in the last year. The last 10 years of Liberal government has been beyond awful. Wake up

The guy who endorsed Trump and voted for Trump, endorsing a Canadian politician, isn't the win you think it is.

Imagine a reality where Tom Mulcaire is the one helping a CTV anchor from going full retard. CTV: "But Tom, Pierre keeps complaining about Carney taking trips. First the UK and now the USA... How do you square that circle?" Mulcaire: "Carney took 17 trips, Pierre took 2!" 🙃

There should be palpable anger in Canada regarding the last decade of energy policy. Many of the elected officials who formed the Trudeau Cabinet and brain trust that made such harmful decisions remain in vital positions of decision making regarding current & future energy policy. That we as a nation tolerate such incompetence and malfeasance, begets disbelief. No accountability and no consequences. Honestly, how bad does it have to get for us to want or expect better?

@CTVNews If they lose this 3rd appeal maybe they should look into jailing those who used this act on its citizens.

@TristinHopper @KenSmit1986 They are so distracted by Trump that they have zero clue what’s happening in our own country!

@KenSmit1986 I don't think the Canadian voter is uniquely out of touch in 2026. I think they were this dumb for most of our history. It's just that the consequences are so much worse now.

If Carney was doing literally any of the things Boomers think he's doing, I would sleep better at night. But he's not. He's not fixing immigration. He's not fixing crime. He's definitely not "unleashing" the economy. It's just going to take more pain for people to notice.
Tristin Hopper@TristinHopper

1. Canadians know things are worse. 2. The worse things are not improving. 3. They won't improve, because leadership is actively avoiding the things that would fix them. Keep your eyes on the prize. It's disheartening to see so many Canadians suffer a psychotic break, but where we are is not sustainable.

Feel poorer at the grocery store? Here’s exactly why. Since 2020: Food prices ↑ ~30% Wages ↑ ~20% That shaded gap? That’s lost purchasing power. Canadians aren’t imagining it.

Purchasing Power in Food: Conservatives VS Liberals. +13.2% (2006-2015) vs +9.3% (2015-2026) ~1.2% per year (Conservatives) ~0.8% per year (Liberals) Under the Liberals, the improvement in purchasing power at the grocery store slowed by about one-third, and much less stable.

@realdanmitchell @YardsPerPass We are in win now, so you can’t piss around and wait for draft picks to develop in a few years anymore. They need a Crosby on defense though, they need a game changer.

@YardsPerPass I thought fans were getting sick of hoarding draft picks and refusing to make "win now" moves?
