Mother speaks out after her 17-year-old son was sent back from the 12th grade to the 9th grade. The school had promoted him despite him already failing, and she says the school failed her son. 😳💔🏫

@tmmdaytontexas @SarahisCensored @mcuban How do you think about, type, and read that sentence and still think it’s ok to post? You’re praying for blessings for a guy you’re calling a demon?

Mark Cuban just saved baby Stella’s life. Stella was diagnosed with aggressive cancer at just four months old. Her mother posted a TikTok video showing her speaking with the insurance company, which was denying a medical lift that could have saved Stella’s life. The lift would have transported her from Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Ohio for a T-cell transfusion that is only available at that facility. The insurance company claimed Stella was well enough to travel by road—even though both her parents and doctors said she was not. In fact, doctors refused to discharge her from the hospital due to her failing liver. Her mother posted the video begging for help—either a private plane or assistance securing a medical lift. The video caught the attention of billionaire Mark Cuban, who immediately stepped in and funded the entire transport, along with everything needed to get Stella to Cincinnati. Stella was scheduled for her T-cell transfusion two days ago. As soon as I have an update, I will provide one. And no, you do not hate insurance companies enough.

Am I in the wrong? I was scheduled to work 8am to 4pm. I show up to my shift early and then my manager shows up and decides she wants me to close and come in later because she doesn't feel like closing. I told her that this wasn't discussed with me beforehand and I have already made prior engagements, which means I can't just all of a sudden work a different shift that I wasn't informed about until now. So instead she got upset and just told me that if I won't close then she doesn't want me here at all and sent me home. Like am I in the wrong here?

An absolutely excruciating moment at the Georgia Supreme Court this week. Justice Peterson pressed state attorney Deborah Leslie over her citations to cases that apparently don’t exist.

Learned about something called a "glimmer" recently. It's the opposite of a trigger. A tiny moment that makes you feel good. Coffee hitting right. Sun on your face. Your dog losing its mind when you walk in the door. Most of us are trained to scan for threats all day. Flip that. Start scanning for glimmers. Same exact life starts feeling completely different.

Thanks for caring about a character I created when I was 24 and a book I wrote when I was 33. I'm old now, still trying to come up with truthful stories, and glad to know that you've taken Ender Wiggin to heart. @thomas_garrard *I’m also happy to see how many fellow humans have volunteered to replace Grok in a book discussion. **And speaking of being old, I first posted this incorrectly. Grok may have to replace me.
Just T.J. the Army Vet@thomas_garrard

I just had a conversation with Grok about one of my all time favorite books “Ender’s Game” I had to talk to Grok, because I’ve never met anyone who’s read it, besides me. Lol. It’s a great book, though, if you’re ever so inclined.

One day you sang “So long, farewell, to you my friends, goodbye for now, until we meet again” for the last time and had no idea. Out of the Box ran on Playhouse Disney from 1998 to 2004. Two hosts named Tony and Vivian ran a clubhouse built entirely out of cardboard boxes, where neighbourhood kids showed up every episode to make crafts, sing songs, and put on little plays. The whole set was painted cardboard and recycled materials. 82 episodes across three seasons. And every single one ended the same way, with Tony and Vivian singing a goodbye song called “Until We Meet Again.” If you watched, you knew every word. You sang it back at the TV without thinking about it. Then one afternoon in the early 2000s, the episode ended, the song played, and you got up and went on with your day. You didn’t know that was the last time you’d ever watch it. Nobody told you. You just grew up.

We're at a point where there are no cheap options to retreat to and no price points that guarantee quality. Every run-down studio is $1400, every fast food meal is $17, every luxury condo has peel-n-stick tiles, every $300 pair of boots falls apart. Endless expensive mediocrity.

Making my own dog food from my pantry and what I had on hand. Usually, we do brown rice, but white is what we had. No fresh pumpkin, so the puree. Add your veggies and ground beef. There are no seasonings but their vitamins. My dogs are actually losing weight. They have dinner for several days. Have you ever made your own dog food? Mine are thriving and haven't had the store bought crap in months.

A woman at an office decides to do the “right thing” and gives her employer a two-week notice after accepting a new job. Instead of appreciating the professionalism, the manager tells her to pack her things and leave the same day. Two-week notices used to be about professionalism and mutual respect, but situations like this make many employees question whether loyalty in the workplace is still a two-way street. Some companies appreciate the notice, while others treat it as a signal to cut ties right away. If there’s always a risk of being terminated immediately, is giving a two-week notice still worth it?

The owner of a real estate company thought it would be fun to build everyone their own tiny home as an office instead of the typical boring cubicles. He felt that it would be more private for them and it would be fun for the to customize and make it their own. When the workers get to work they seem to be at a home away from home. They are happier and more productive. Would you want to work in your own home office like this or should he just let them have cubicles like everyone else?

Proud to wear my custom “Fight” kippah today in Congress. President @realdonaldTrump is battling leftists, Muslim terrorists, and all who are seeking to destroy us, and he’s not backing down one bit. I will never stop fighting alongside him. We must continue to fight, fight, fight!
