I actually think that Mahoraga was never supposed to be part of the Ten Shadows technique, and that it somehow merged into becoming part of 10S over time.
This would explain why 10S isn't equipped to tame Mahoraga. It was never supposed to be. [🧵]

She’s not even there, yet she’s the one thing anchoring him- followed by the cinematic transition from darkness to light. Wow.
