@tylermilliken_ His range is non-existent. I watched a ball hit to the shortstop side of second base and Mayer got closer to getting it than Story did. I get Cora wanting to keep the veterans happy, but your best SS should play SS.

Trevor Story has committed 11 errors in his last 34 games at shortstop. Finished 3rd in errors last year with 19. Has 4 so far this season, which only trails Junior Caminero with 5. Currently in the 7th percentile for OAA. Not the defensive rebound the Sox were hoping for.

People will laugh at Triston Casas. They’re the worst people on this app. He’s now had the last 3 years of his career derailed by significant injuries. A guy who lives and breathes baseball to the point he has to be asked to leave when Fenway shuts down at night. Just unfair.

I think there should be penalties for when an umpire is proved correct. If a batter is so certain a pitch is a ball, put your at bat on the line. Pitch is correctly upheld, the batter is out. If a catcher/pitcher makes a challenge and the call is upheld, batter gets the base.

I despise the new ABS system in the MLB. You’re asking umpires to call a pitch going 95-100 w/spin/movement in a split second and then a batter or catcher can tappytap their helmet and let a computer determine ball or strike by a fraction on an inch. BS

@callen0013 If the catchers and batters can do it, why shouldn’t the umpires? Plus it’ll get Laz Diaz and CB Buckner out of this league faster.
