@shaolinfry @Bogdan_12358 The Bitcoin Foundation is wrong on this. UASF was activated without a chain split on August 1st as miners complied with our nodes' rules.

@MashuriBC @jessedain @benvh @LukeDashjr @james_hilliard BIP148/91 used the fact most nodes were already segwit ready, but BCH removed sw. BIP148 was a special case for exceptional circumstances.

@Bogdan_12358 @francispouliot_ BIP148 created a lopsided crisis that could only be resolved with miners either orphaning non-sw blocks or get segwit lockin before Aug 1

@Bogdan_12358 @francispouliot_ BIP91 implements the BIP148 orphaning rule, presented so miners can "do it their way" and "prevent a chain split" and they can save face.

@benvh @LukeDashjr @james_hilliard BIP148 was successful because the idea was good. It captured the imagination of everyone, inspiring thousands. It's not about personalities.

I encourage the #UASF Bitcoin Core project to continue rebasing Core releases and maintain the userbase. @LukeDashjr @orionwl keep signing!

Users should continue to run the #UASF flavour of Bitcoin Core. Let's keep that project alive and keep miners in check. #BIP148

@JaEsf Empty block/orphan attack is an *attack*, so would be neutralized by various means. But mostly those attacks have no incentive to maintain.
