Let this Retatrutide Freaknomics story SINK in... I'm approaching 30 days microdosing retatrutide. Maybe the most shocking discovery is my food bill. My food bill looks like the stock chart of Software stocks. I am actually saving money by buying retatrutide!

@SayNoToTrading Scooped up $MUSA in Feb. $CASY is on the check back in a year or two list. Been a rocket since '23.

Just announced $CASY is being added to S&P 500, replacing Hologic being acquired by $BX and $TPG. You know I like Casey’s General Stores stock, it has been a monster. Though I did very recently make it known I preferred peer $MUSA when it dipped in February to $360s, but that has rebounded strongly back to $500s now. So now both are being chased.

@SayNoToTrading Must be your area. In San Diego with SDG&E I pay 12c/kwh between midnight and 6am. I charge to 80% almost every night and had over $1k in surplus at the end of the year with 22 panels. A/C is on all summer.

Even with $7 gas in California, you will only save $7 per year driving a Tesla $TSLA. Unless you want to drive 20 mins away, after 1 am, to sit in a parking lot and maybe get 35-40 cents kWh. If not, you are paying 48-57 cents kWh during normal times people live their lives. EVs are a total scam for fuel savings. Your savings are reduced maintenance costs, that’s it.

$NFLX is super cheap entertainment compared to regular cable TV. (my parents have a $300/mo cable/TV bill!). Still cheap compared to movie/concert/sports tickets which I would cut first. $AMZN is non-negotiable; will never walk into a $WMT $TGT $ACI. $COST I somewhat enjoy during offpeak hours.

New $NFLX price is $324 per year. Glad I don’t have a sub. Hate fictional series, they just suck your time away, and that’s about all they offer. I hate the argument investors make that Netflix is the last thing people would cancel in recession/tough times. Dude, were you around in 2009? Do you realize to cancel our cable TV, it required a DMV like trip to Comcast two towns away, standing in line for 1.5 hours, with your cable box to return? Yet, we did it! Today, you just have to click cancel in Netflix app. How much more enticing is that, especially to just cancel for a couple months and re-activate later. Look what happened to $CMCSA and $CHTR during GFC. The latter actually born from cable company bankruptcies during that time. $NFLX is discretionary. The last thing I would cancel is this…

I’m planning to load up on AMZN next week. RKLB I need low 50s to match my current position. I’ve been burned by many influencers but NO RAGRETS! I chalk it up to tuition and lessons learned whether they be good or bad. Your perspective on your buy and holds has definitely made this correction more enjoyable and my portfolio more resilient than previous ones where I was balls deep and castrated in fintwit’s favorites!

What would you rather buy: 500 of $AMZN at $191 500 of $RKLB at $60 I say both. In all seriousness, this brings up an important issue which is irritating me more and more the longer I'm on X. In the short ~1 year of being on here, I've seen the focus of the fintwit community go from just that - a community - to a place where once accounts reach a certain size, they are just trying to sell subscriptions. Then, their public facing persona is carefully crafted. No longer do they share what they are buying or selling in real time like this. Instead, rather cagey and useless posts just teasing a subscription. They say things like what they bought/sold 3 months later (e.g. someone saying they sold $HOOD in January) and they only publish that now, after stock is cut in half. How useful is that? It isn't. It's a total waste of time as you scroll your feed. They either don't have the balls to tell you what they're doing in real time, because they're afraid of being publicly wrong, or they are thinking first and foremost on selling subs and crafting the right perception for that. Speaking of being publicly wrong, if you are selling a sub and too sissy to post your pic, general vicinity of where you live, or any other vague details about who you are, what makes you think people should trust you with their money? You can't compare it to bonafide but faceless financial research firms. Even they have an LLC, C-Corp, or similar. They are not anonymous, if you really dig. I do believe that if you take money from someone, you will act differently (and more respectfully) if in the back of your mind, even subconsciously, you know someone can find you if they try. You will think a bit differently in that financial advice you give. You will be even more careful with it, knowing that, bad advice can come back and haunt you. Oh and don't kid yourself and say it's not financial advice you're selling. You're not running an OnlyFans here. Hell, you won't even show your face, so what else are people paying you for?! That too brings up major legal issues which I won't get into for now. Though I will briefly say, having extensive experience with FTC last decade from my own businesses, just putting up some generic "not financial advice" tagline doesn't indemnify you, if you are taking money in return. You are totally naive if you think that's how the law works. A post by @Invesquotes a day ago said: "Honestly pretty crazy how many large accounts that patronize other investors here end up deleting posts when proven wrong Absolutely crazy." I replied: "Can you post examples? I know this is big problem and plenty of people on here document, so the proof is out there, but for those of us who don’t track this stuff, we are clueless as to who is and isn’t doing it. I’d like to know who to ignore/unfollow/mute." He did not feel comfortable sharing who and in my opinion, that too is a problem. Why the hell protect people just because they are big and popular accounts? Call them out dammit!!! A Canadian investor I follow on here, I saw a day or two ago they are largely going to stop posting on X because they are no longer getting much value on here. I agree. There are tons of amazing people on here, but the vast majority of them I find are those who have nothing to sell and in turn, have honest intentions of trying to invest better and share what they're doing and thinking. Life is reciprocal. If you are getting value from others, you have an obligation to share with them in return. That's how it works. I am feeling less compelled to go out of my way to post what I'm doing, because hardly anyone else does the same in return, yet they follow me. I deactivated all other social media in 2022. I can't even view Instagram or TikTok because it requires app and/or login to see a post. So I'm now 4 years on that. Have no clue what their current interfaces even look like. Don't be surprised if I just disappear from here one day, because I get totally fed up with what this place has turned into now that X subs are so prevalent. That's not friendship, that's a marketplace, especially when the other side (me) doesn't charge you for anything.

Very simple truth that most people don’t realize until it’s too late. Go to college and maybe get a masters degree 📜 and work for the next 30-40 years and bam 💥 you’re 65 and then you retire to enjoy life in your own terms. You think you’ll live a long life maybe another good 15 years because you eat healthy and exercise often. Then you hit 68 and then you’re on your dead bed. You get cancer By then you’ll realize that you didn’t enjoy your kids because you didn’t spend a lot of time with them and didn’t build deep connections with your kids and other people and you didn’t spend time with your family. Many such sad cases. You think this is life and life has come to an end and you accept your faith and you die before you’re 70. Some people realize early on that the system is designed to work you until you’re dead so some people get off the system and start living life. Spend time with Family Connect with people. Spend time traveling Spend time eating good food. Cancer and heart disease will take out regardless if you’re eating healthy and do exercise, it does help but it doesn’t exclude you. Live life like it’s your last week on earth. 🌍

@MultifamilyMad Plumbing will test your resolve. Pin-hole leaks, repipes, root intrusion, main-line belly, gas leaks, cast-iron pipes. I have a tiny portfolio but have way too many battle scars. Sometimes I wish to sell them all and put it in a fund!

When Dwight said this, I felt it… You can read as many real estate books as you want, listen to as many podcast or watch all the real estate YouTube videos you want…but NOTHING will prepare you for what you will experience once you actually own rental property. There is nothing like having a plumbing leak under your freshly paved apartment. The 2:00am call from the fire department. Months of uncollected rent. Sewer backups. Learn by doing. Know by experiencing. Experience is the best teacher…

Bear thesis for Amazon $AMZN stock: 2nd time in a row, 3rd party seller sends counterfeit Apple MFi certified headphone adapter. Cost is $7.99 for fake product. Cost is $7.99 for return and that's AFTER I repeatedly tell customer service they're counterfeit. In the @ajassy era, the Amazon customer experience may have crossed the Rubicon.

Poll for users of $Z $ZG Zillow and $CSGP Homes.com. As you probably know, CoStar blew through billions the past few years for Homes.com but now, they say their major spend on it is over as last year, it took market share from Zillow. Activists are all over $CSGP on this. @DanielSLoeb1 Anyone here use Homes.com and prefer it over Zillow? I tried last night, found it very bogged down when navigating between individual listings and back to your search map. Something which is unacceptable when you are trying to look at a bunch of properties.

@CHANG_Woo_Gow @TheProfInvestor If you have a Fidelity 401k and your company allows it, there is a sub-account feature called Brokeragelink. You can trade individual stocks and options in it. Majority of my 401k is in FXAIX index but I use the Brokeragelink for more risk/reward.

Serious question. I’ve been on X exactly one year and during first several months, I remember $HIMS and $PYPL seemed to be the fintwit favorites. What would you say the current favorites are? Looking to a compile a list of stocks to avoid, at least for now.

Great to have the list to watch and remind you of her. Maybe you'll put things together from the movie plots or quotes that she said in the past that you previously didn't catch. AI is great for somethings like this but that trend of uploading a pic and making them into fake movements seems kinda creepy to me. Sorry for you loss brother.

My grandma died last night and I must say @elonmusk what @grok has been able to do with her letters is something ChatGPT couldn’t. A while back, for my birthday I asked if she could write out her 100 favorite movies. Not only could Grok Expert perfectly decipher every messy cursive word (some I couldn’t read), it could reason with misspelled titles, such as Double Identity must be Double Indemnity. Thank you
