You know what really bugs me? We cant own anything. Everything is a subscription....like literally everything. You cant buy Microsoft Office. You have to purchase a subscription for a year. You literally have to pay for everything FOREVER Isn't anyone else bothered by this.

@T3chFalcon You are missing the point why Sony done it. It was verboten to rip the CD you bought and amke mp3 out of it so you can use it on your mobile player... Or make a copy or a mixed CD of it for your gf. FYI

Let me tell you about the time Sony put malware on 22 million music CDs. Sony the corporation, on purpose. 2005. you buy a CD at a music store. you get home. you put it in your computer. Windows autorun kicks in. Sony's software silently installs a rootkit on your system. It hides itself using the same techniques professional malware uses to evade detection. it runs constantly in the background. it phones home to Sony with information about what you're listening to. and it cannot be uninstalled. The removal tool Sony eventually released to fix it required your email address and installed additional software that introduced further vulnerabilities. the fix was worse than the rootkit. A security researcher named Mark Russinovich found it on Halloween 2005. published his findings. the internet erupted. Sony's President of Global Digital Business responded: "most people don't even know what a rootkit is, so why should they care about it?" things then got worse: other malware authors discovered that anything hidden using Sony's rootkit technique became invisible to antivirus software too. they started hiding their own malware inside the same hidden directory. Sony had accidentally created the perfect malware concealment system and shipped it to 22 million people. 50 artists had CDs with the rootkit. Celine Dion. Neil Diamond. Santana. none of them knew. Van Zant's album that started the whole investigation ranked 887 on Amazon. after reviews warned about the rootkit it dropped to 25,802 in three weeks. Sony recalled the CDs. settled with the FTC. paid millions. Mark Russinovich became CTO of Microsoft Azure. the rootkit is the reason we now consider autorun a security risk. Sony shipped malware to protect music. the malware protected nothing. the music got pirated anyway.

Philip Seymour Hoffman was 25 years old & working in a Deli when he was cast in "Scent of a Woman" (1992). He auditioned for the role 5 times before he was selected. After watching him perform for the first time, Martin Brest said, "“Philip Seymour Hoffman was so unbelievable that I immediately said, 'Oh my God, I’ve just discovered the next great actor.’ He just came from another planet.” There was one take from Hoffman which was so passionately delivered that it stunned the cast and crew into silence—unfortunately, it didn’t quite fit the tone of his character, and was left on the cutting room floor. Martin Brest called it, "most intense, balls-to-the-wall performances I’d ever seen. It was f***ing amazing, and the most extraordinary thing he did on the set the entire film. But it was the wrong performance—it was f***ing amazing—but it was from another movie. So I told him to play it again." It was Hoffman's performance in this movie that caught the eye of Paul Thomas Anderson who wrote a character specifically for him in "Boogie Nights" (1997), which was the basis for their collaboration until Hoffman's early demise. ("An Oral History of Scent of a Woman", Luke Georgiades, A Rabbit's Foot, 2024 & IMDb) P.S: Remembering the great American actor Philip Seymour Hoffman on his 59th birthday!

Acabo de ver Masters of the Universe. "Demasiado humor Marvel, mimimimi". La peli es DIVERTIDÍSIMA. La peli por la que hubiera matado de niño. ¿Y lo de que sea él de niño el que le dé nombres absurdos a los guerreros? SUBLAIM. ¿¿Y esa música?? Quiero... MÁS.

The Odyssey's $265 million opening is great until you remember what a box office juggernaut really looks like: "Avengers: Endgame" achieved the largest opening weekend in box office history, bringing in a massive $1.22 billion worldwide. This includes $357.1 million in the United States and Canada, and $866.6 million internationally. It STILL holds the record as the only film to surpass $1 billion globally during its opening weekend. And this was in 2019 dollars! So if the race-and-gender-swapped "ODYSSEY" is such hot stuff, why did it come in at only 1/6th of what a REAL blockbuster looks like?
