What a day! A privilege, if a little surreal, to give my maiden speech in the House of Lords yesterday, with my family watching on. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way.

Is it Time to stop calling it “domestic abuse” or “violence against women & girls”? It’s MALE VIOLENCE When we identify the perpetrator rather than just the victim, we have a chance of eliminating it because we focus on the cause & not only it’s effect

@implausibleblog Youth services were annihilated by the Conservative government. She is absolutely spot on. We have to feel passionately about our young people and give them the best start in life we can, particularly those who are marginalised through poverty and exploited.
