The Supreme Court of the United States has now joined the Supreme Court of Virginia in choosing to nullify an election and the votes of more than three million Virginians. These Virginians made their voices heard — casting their ballots in good faith to push back against a President who said he’s “entitled” to more seats in Congress before voters go to the polls. As Governor, I will make sure voters know when and how to cast their votes this year. Because our votes are how we choose the representation we deserve.

In Maine, it's not just Janet Mills who hasn't endorsed Platner. -Maine's outgoing CD-2 representative Jared Golden has said nothing, to my knowledge. -Rep Chellie Pingree initially offered a prediction, without formal endorsement. On May 2, two days after Mills dropped out, Pingree said, "We will win the two Democratic seats in Maine. One of them will be the people who follow me, and Graham Platner will win the Maine Senate seat." -Since then, Pingree has offered only one comment on Platner. Today, May, 15, CNBC called her for comment on the race, and she said it will be "hard to predict." Bit different from the 5/2 statement. -Since the brief rallying of Maine state legislators immediately after Mills dropped out, no named Democratic official has appeared alongside Platner at a campaign event, to my knowledge. -Elizabeth Warren endorsed before Mills dropped out; Now is pretty quiet. -Despite Platner's "progressive" narrative, other progressive in Congress have also been fairly quiet. Not typical for them. Especially if a Working Class Hero is about to win Maine. So, apart from Bernie, national Democrats are not amplifying the race, despite the fact that it looks like GOP PACs are set to out-spend Platner 5-1. All of this is arguably abnormal behavior for a Senate race of this importance, particularly one that is within the national lens. In a toss-up race where you're being outspent massively, the standard playbook is to flood the zone with surrogates, earned media, and national attention to compensate. The opposite is happening.
