@tradewarhj @ST_Vermillion Are you rage baiting? The accuracy and number of notes per second that top rhythm game players hit in actual hardcore titles changed what I thought humans were capable of. This guy is not one of the best but very good. Marvelous is a ~.02 second window.

I've found that some of the most intelligent young people I know often mispronounce words, because they grew up reading far, far more than watching TV, and so they know the meaning of more words than they know how to pronounce correctly.

@sharp_ssbm @ThankGod1903 Good point about Spassky, but I think Alekhine underestimated Euwe one time and then took care of him in the rematch. Euwe's tourney record is much worse than players like Keres or Aronian.

@sammy_mendel @ThankGod1903 I haven't studied the games so i cant speak personally, but an article on all world championships with modern engine analysis actually showed the first Euwe Alekhine match's accuracy to be a standout high of that era. Not that an engine percentage score is everything.

@blockwonkel I really like how Light's name is fucking insane in Japanese. A fairly traditional non english speaking couple named their first kid an English word that is hard to say, and then wrote it in a way that breaks every naming convention in Japanese I know of. Even the kanji is weird.

@AlexSouthernVT @BlooHook You can get a very solid PC for the 1000-1500 range, and one that can play most old games for well under 1000. Under 1000 might not be able to handle much current ps3 emulation, but you should be able to play modern games at lower settings as well. Spending 3k is dumb.

@BlooHook I think current consoles not having backwards compatibility is stupid. That being said I am absolutely not paying 3k for a pc especially just to play old games. You don't need to spend a fraction of that to just buy actual retro consoles, most of which are easily hackable.

Boxing, Track, and Tennis are all insanely popular normal sports where you can compete entirely as an individual (although it's fairly uncommon in track)
