Sean Beech sentenced on 22nd November 2024 to four and a half years for breaking a police officer’s nose. It is the longest prison sentence to date for anyone convicted of being involved in the violent disorder in Southport. From charging to sentence was about two and a half months.
Mohammed Fahir Amaaz was convicted in July 2025 of two counts of actual bodily harm against the female police officers including punching PC Lydia Ward and breaking her nose, plus common assault on a member of the public. He’s been in custody on remand for 10 months ever since, awaiting sentencing. His brother hasn’t been convicted on the main charges.
