Just to be clear: Amber Thurman's death was not a tragic mistake. It is the logical outcome of the Georgia abortion ban working exactly as intended by horifically punishing women who try to access abortion care.

Thurman was denied help for her incomplete miscarriage at a Georgia hospital in part because language in Georgia’s abortion ban only allows doctors to intervene medically in cases of “natural,” “spontaneous” miscarriage.
