I am heading to the calendared preliminary hearing for The People of the State of California v. David Anthony Burke (#D4vd). I expect it will be continued once appearances are made, but I’m going anyway just in case. #CelesteRivasHernandez

I just left the arrangement of David Anthony Burke #D4VD where he entered not guilty pleas to all charges . His attorneys are pressing for a fast preliminary hearing and are eager to see evidence against him. They noted that they have not received any discovery, including the autopsy of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The prosecutor replied that there was over 40 TB of discovery in this case and it would take a while to get that to the defense team, however #D4vd attorney still move forward wanting a speedy preliminary hearing which is set for April 23. The judge also agreed to have the medical examiners report unsealed. Justice is coming for Celeste.

@LizAnnJCA @SF_investigates He may have money right now but these costly lawyers are going to help drain that back account. He had to cancel his tour, I’m sure sponsors have started leaving also. I get that he’s worth several millions but it won’t last if he can’t continue working.

Defenses frequently say that in the beginning, but it typically seems to change. I predict he will waive right to speedy prelim, and delay proceedings. I also predict that he won't be able to afford private attorneys for very long. He wasn't worth that much. He'll have to switch to public defenders. But that doesn't mean his defense will be less vigorous.
