I got a Solana Agave Validator running with only 30gb ram usage. Here I'm racing it vs Helius, which have enhanced their websockets. My local node is still slower than @Helius on slotsubscriptions (at least). Rough estimate on how sticky we are to chain tip. It makes sense to start doing this now since Helius has decided to make their websockets more expensive

Today I'm making public the first unofficial Extended Rust SDK. The official Python SDK uses Rust for signing and that same lib is reused here. @extendedapp github.com/Ethics3606/ext…
Ethics@ethics3606

I've fully integrated @extendedapp into my trading system to take advantage of the low fees and the interest on collateral feature. I had to build a pure Rust SDK to do it. Noone seems to have done it before! I might publish it if there's interest. Has order submission and all the public & private endpoints

I've been away for almost three weeks now, dragged across state lines to nod politely at relatives who still call me by my childhood nickname while they chew with their mouths open. The only thing I've brought that resembles civilization is this pathetic, wafer-thin laptop—some mid-tier garbage whose single redeeming feature is the OLED screen that stares back at me with perfect blacks and colors so rich they almost make the family gatherings bearable. Almost. It wheezes through the most basic work tasks like a dying animal. My real machine back home—the one that matters—sits on a custom loop-cooled pedestal: Intel Core i9-14900K, 128 gigs of DDR5 screaming at 6400 MT/s, liquid metal between die and IHS because anything less would be an insult. That's the workstation Rust deserves. That's the machine that turns a 40-second incremental compile into something civilized. This travel abomination? It might as well be running on hopes and prayers. Lately, during the long silences between forced small talk and the third helping of casserole I didn't ask for, I've been fantasizing about something different. Something that doesn't make me want to peel my own face off every time `cargo build` drags on for an eternity. Ubuntu, clean, no bloat, no telemetry breathing down my neck. And real power—cores that actually mean something, threads that don't apologize for existing, all without requiring a second mortgage. I'm talking value. Brutal, efficient, high-core-count value. The kind of machine that would make my workstation glance over its shoulder nervously. So I ask you, connoisseurs of silicon and suffering: what should I buy? A Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 in something like the Asus ProArt P16 or Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i—12 cores, 24 threads, that vicious 50 TOPS NPU lurking underneath, paired with a discrete RTX 4060 or better, a stunning 4K OLED touchscreen, and enough LPDDR5X RAM to make incremental builds feel like breathing? It pretends the integrated graphics are secondary while the discrete card handles the real work, but the whole thing runs cool, quiet, and Linux-friendly enough that Ubuntu installs without a whimper. An aging but still vicious high-core Ryzen beast in a discounted gaming chassis—because 16 cores/32 threads at sustained power levels is the closest thing to desktop heresy you can slip into a carry-on bag without drawing stares at security? And then there's the nuclear option staring at me from the corner of my mind like a perfectly groomed predator: the current 16-inch MacBook Pro with M4 Max. Sixteen CPU cores (or more in the top configs), up to forty GPU cores, 128GB of that unified memory sorcery with bandwidth that mocks traditional RAM, and a price tag that casually clears five thousand dollars—often more once you spec it like a civilized person should. It compiles Rust faster than God intended any mortal laptop to, sips power like fine Bordeaux, runs silent as a sociopath, and the Liquid Retina XDR screen makes my current OLED look like a child's coloring book. But it's macOS. Locked. Elegant. Untouchable. The kind of machine that would make me feel superior... until I remember I wanted Ubuntu, raw, unfiltered, with no walled garden telling me what I can and cannot do. Recommendations. Now. Before I start measuring the distance between this OLED screen and the nearest wall—or worse, before I click "Buy" on that M4 Max configuration and never speak of Linux again.

Some more Monke Breakpoint stats - MonkeDAO organized a Monke Hotel for holders at the Ritz and had 140 direct bookings. - They put together ~200 welcome packs for those holders - The private Monke Breakpoint chat had 420+ people in it. TLDR; 🐒🤝 🐒

NFTs have mostly died but there are still a few projects that refuse to die and @MonkeDAO is one of them. At @SolanaConf, 275 Monke jpeg enjoyers showed up in the desert for some fun Dune Bashing, Sandboarding, Camel rides & more. Proud to be a purple Monke on the internet.

Last week I've been experimenting with two different market making strategies on @Lighter_xyz. One strategy was using perp prices from Binance (perp to perp arb) as inputs. Another strategy was using just the midprice at Lighter. Initially, the Binance strategy was outperforming (for 5 days), but as the midprices start to diverge (a Lighter premium was building), it caused an excessive short position that was held for too long and lead to a big loss. The short was not being sufficiently offloaded. The midprice strategy (from Lighters books) was way more balanced, and although it was lagging for several days, it came clearly on top. Starting equity around 8k. It has been taking both long and short positions. Look at that insane pnl graph. I've shelved the Binance strategy for now, but might bring it back with a hedging strategy. How would you handle diverging premiums?

May have found the secret sauce to market making at Lighter. Seeing decent trading income. Here with 5k equity. Still in the hole in total but method has changed significantly. Looking for a full week of profits
