This account aims to normalize conversations around Mental Health (in/out the academic world). Topics sometimes are related to my experience with PTSD (event at adolescence) and grief (adulthood). My reasons are varied, but mostly I feel like I owe it to my past self.

Motivation can come from (examples): - love of learning beautiful details - want to have quality of life when disability/illness affects it - want to be loved - want to be remembered and have a legacy - save/help your loved ones - to compensate for harm created to others

I am not you and you are not me, and thats okay, being different is what creates the pull and push that contributes to all this wonderful world of ideas, innovation, art and culture. There are many motivations that play a role coming from diverse experiences, i will name a few

When helping others, even if the intentions are good, arrogance and lack of awareness about the difference in priorities of those you want to help may end up hurting others. People need to be listened individually, there is no miracle fix for all

TBH, sometimes I have chosen not not to participate AT ALL if I am in a crowded touristic place with a group of friends because of the risk of taking over. I just go with my headphones, and avoid talking until we're in a quite place. They enjoy and noone gets upset.

Sensory issues are also being unable to hold a conversation in a crowded place because you take over. In my case, new sensory input can be too much and my speech speed can get synced with the speed of the information processing. Internal dialogue is slow or stops.
