How a Hidden Polymarket Wallet Exposed the Ethereum Founder's Secret NFT Dump Back in 2024, every crypto media outlet reported that Buterin bought 400 Patron NFTs for 32 ETH from @Trueo_app (formerly @Truemarketsorg). He’s still holding to this day. That headline triggered a SOLD OUT mint - a $4M collection. But a recently discovered Polymarket account allegedly linked to @VitalikButerin reveals there’s more to the story - and it might all be fake. Polymarket account: polymarket.com/0x3c8ac6a99d9c… In reality, there were two purchases made by Buterin: 1) From the public wallet - 32 ETH for 400 NFTs. Media and CT picked it up (source), pumping the hype and leading to a $4M SOLD OUT collection at a mint price of 0.08 ETH per NFT (~$250 at the time). These NFTs are still sitting untouched - creating the illusion of a “hold.” Purchase date: Nov-19-2024 10:46:49 AM +UTC TX - basescan.org/tx/0x35bb690dd… 2) From an anonymous wallet - 64 ETH for 800 NFTs. Of those, 101 remain unsold while 699 were sold off within 2–3 months at 0.16–0.23 ETH per NFT - roughly 2–3x the mint price (around 110–120 ETH total). So the “buy and hold” narrative tied to one of crypto’s most respected figures might actually have been a setup to lure investors into becoming exit liquidity for True Markets (later rebranded as Trueo). Today, these NFTs are worth around 0.0032 ETH - roughly $6 each. A Bithumb exchange user was mistakenly credited with $2,000 in BTC, while it was supposed to be 2,000 KRW as a prize from a random box. Looking at this, you think: wow, some people are that lucky, right? But if you think about it more rationally — where would you even put that money, what laundering paths exist (okay, up to 100k maybe, but when it’s hundreds of millions — no idea), withdrawals could easily get blocked, financial monitoring everywhere. A bit of time ⏱ - moving to Kyiv done ✅ I’ve wanted to change the environment for a long time, put myself into more challenging conditions, step out of my comfort zone, and try something new. My main goal at the moment is to create momentum. The comfort I had built earlier was slowing down further growth. Right now, I’m staying with a friend.
