Boy am I confused by current global politics.

Non-Israeli friends are asking me why we’re not all out on the streets demonstrating against Jewish settler terror in the West Bank. Their well-meant ignorance clearly shows that the international media is not reporting about our daily and nightly routine of missile attacks, sheltering at home, all schools shut, emergency law prohibiting assemblies. We are following the West Bank atrocities with anger and pain. And we still have the liberty to sign petitions.

Even respected personalities such as Kofi Annan somehow lost his way and said things that are unworthy of him. With the Durban scandal in the background, how can the world expect Israel to trust the United Nations? And how can good people, idealistic people have faith in its mission to bring nations together in an atmosphere of dignity? The Durban conference will be remembered as a forum dominated not by anti-Israelis but by antisemites. That militant Palestinians hate Jews that is known. It is enough to hear the various Islamic leaders harangues and read schoolbooks printed by the Palestinian Authority: they preach hatred and violence not against Zionists but against Jews. Their slogan, naked and brutal, which is everywhere the same, has been felt and heard in Durban too: "Kill the Jews!" What hurts is not that Palestinians and Arabs voiced their hatred but that so few delegates had the courage to dissociate themselves from them. If this is what @SkyNews' Lisa Holland takes away from running for cover during a missile attack on Tel Aviv, then we need to explain a few things: 1⃣ Iran’s goal IS to cause large-scale casualties 2⃣ The fact that it doesn’t achieve that aim is entirely because of Israel’s remarkable defensive capabilities 3⃣ Those capabilities are no accident. It’s a result of living under constant threat of annihilation for the entire history of the state Would Lisa Holland like to see more large-scale casualties in Israel, to make the fighting seem evenly matched? Is that the sort of “balance” Sky News is striving for?
