My #Etsy shop is full of unique #handmade #gifts and lovely things to treat yourself. Most items take around 10 days to make. I love taking commissions for pet portraits or momentos so do get in touch for a no obligation chat ☺ etsy.com.etsy.com/UK/shop/sheepi…

Pandemonium on the roads this morning. A crash on M5 so queues on minor roads, then home to cars queuing 1/4 mile down our lane because of roadworks. And then everyone got where they wanted to go and it went quiet and the Skylarks took over. These are the moments to cherish.

After a bit of an order "drought" I'm working on a Border Leicester this morning and then a Cotswold for the same customer. Typically work comes in when we have a glorious 16 degree sunny day. I may do a bit of "time management" this afternoon and plant some trees instead 😉

@beesley_gillian I think you'd be more than capable! But in the meantime, why not experiment with adding things like buttons or ribbon, or natural embellishments like seed cases, twigs moss etc.

@sheepinstitches I'm interested to see as these two emerge, you do such an awesome job on the eyes. I ought to learn embroidery, it would add a nice element to my needlefelting, though I am afraid I'm not ready to teach myself embroidery 😅🤷‍♀️

@EquipProChina He's fine as long as he keeps moving. The Gator doesn't have heating, but we get all the warmth from the engine in the cab so in winter, it's very snug.

I'm really not sure Torrin takes life as seriously as everyone else ( except me) thinks he should 😂

@beesley_gillian Public rights of way are ancient routes that are enshrined in law. You can occasionally move or close them but it's a very difficult process. We do have a few "permitted routes" that our landlord has created to link to the PROWS so walkers, riders and cyclists have a nice loop.

@sheepinstitches Is public access to your land a choice you make, or is it all designated by the government?

Trying to move Iskan, our Beef Shorthorn bull this morning. But nobody was going too convince him to cut short his back scratch and come out of the Elder bush until he was ready!

@beesley_gillian Iskan is 11 this year so an older ( mostly) dignified boy. We don't use the dogs on the cattle now as we have a lot of public access so we don't want the cows with calves to be defensive around dogs. Safer for us too tho' 2 of our previous dogs saved both me and Hubs in the past

@sheepinstitches Not even Torrin? 😉😄 Iskan does look like a lot to take on, mind you, I think I'd allow him his scritching time too😅

Thank you so much everyone for my birthday wishes. You're all lovely! And now back to the real work. Today we started feeding high protein sheep pellets in the run up to lambing. The feeder is calibrated to drop 1kg piles at regular intervals and the sheep go along behind to feed

@QPRPaddy We house ours a few days before lambing, but we let them out every morning to feed them in the field, and if it's nice weather, which it sometimes is, we leave them out till evening. They often come back into the barn on their own when they're ready to lamb!
