@benwehrman@sorisshin It's not about 'using' or 'not using'.
It's about being not engaged in 'work', 'entertainment', doing things for self gratification.
@RexVoltag@RealPostFolder Jesus wasn't "God"
"God is a Spirit.." John4:24
Jesus was the same God in flesh, called the Son of God(Not God the Son)
Immanuel.
"Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God"
@Eren020590@swamthetiber25@GeorgeR64520 ..nowhere He called her as "mother". And as regards to listening, He heeded to the requests of total strangers too, leave alone Mary as if the instance at cana or any other can act as cover up for Him not calling her "mother" anywhere. Do not be wilfully ignorant or blind.
@Eren020590@swamthetiber25@GeorgeR64520 ..it's not. No amount of your beating around the bush can change this fact & here you are trying to judge Christians based on whether they call Mary 'MofG' or not. That's plain deceptive & dishonest.
In all the instances you mentioned in your emotional flow...
@Eren020590@swamthetiber25@GeorgeR64520 Maybe He forgot to follow 'Honor thy father & MOTHER' in the crucial moments when it was so required to be rightly confessed & acknowledged by Peter.
All later theological additions to that effect doesn't change that event.
@Eren020590@swamthetiber25@GeorgeR64520 ..while the main party directly involved DID NOT say "mother" to address her.
What kind of 'explaining away' would that require from your side?
Or as usual you would try to attach some philosophical/ontological approach to it?
Why do you crave to hear what no Apostle uttered?
@Eren020590@swamthetiber25@GeorgeR64520 Have you ever noticed, 'MofG' was never addressed as "mother" by the "God" whom she birthed?!
Maybe He lacked the understanding you seem to possess!
That's why you have ended up trying to extract 'motherly confessions' from others by inventing own later theology to judge others..
@Eren020590@swamthetiber25@GeorgeR64520 ..would you call the mother of Judas Iscariot(whom Jesus Himself called 'devil', & who was called son of perdition) as mother of devil? Or mother of perdition?
@Eren020590@swamthetiber25@GeorgeR64520 Word of God is written for getting the Revelation of It, not for drawing own conclusions.
That's why Peter got a REVELATION of who Jesus Christ was, not a 'calculated conclusion'.
By your same standards of conclusions..
@Eren020590@swamthetiber25@GeorgeR64520 It was Mary's privilege that God chose her as the virgin through whom He would come into the world. He chose to be born as a baby to suffer & bear our burdens right from His birth in this sinful world, not for the purpose of someone being elevated as MofG, rather to be the Saviour
@Eren020590@swamthetiber25@GeorgeR64520 Stop treating Jesus' birth as any normal human birth. It was supernatural right from the beginning. Even His life was & is the same.
I have answered your question rightly, but not in the way YOU want.
Because I understand the underlying intentions behind those titles.
@Eren020590@swamthetiber25@GeorgeR64520 Even a rookie will understand the purpose of marian dogmas & the sequence in which they came into being, that it's all about defending one claim by inventing other!
@Eren020590@swamthetiber25@GeorgeR64520 This holds more truth than MofG claims.
Yes the child will be called "Son of God".Period.
You chose to continue & add on the sentence with "& Mary will be called MofG". That's not there actually & neither anyone nor anything there demands or necessitates this kind of conclusion.
