2 avril 1973, publication du Rouge et du Bleu. Les deux compils les plus célèbres et les plus vendues au monde. Même en France, c'est pour dire... A leur écoute, on pourrait croire que nous naviguons dans 30 ou 40 ans de carrière. Dans les faits, il s'agit de moins de 7 ans. Quelqu'un qui aurait dormi pendant 70 ans ne croirait pas que les artistes du Rouge sont les mêmes que ceux du Bleu. Le plus incroyable, c'est qu'ils auraient pu publier au moins trois autres compils sans qu'on puisse choisir quelle est la meilleure entre les cinq. Qu'on les aime un peu, beaucoup, passionnément ou pas du tout, les Beatles sont inégalables. C'est pour ça que 56 ans après leur séparation, 9 fois sur 10 au moins, n'importe quel classement les place comme le meilleur groupe de tous les temps.

I think somebody in his inner circle should tell Paul McCartney that he really doesn't have to finish his live sets with Hey Jude any more. Or even include it all. It's a chore of a song these days. Try "Your Mother Should Know" "She's A Woman" or "Silly Love Songs". Yes!
