This is a call for one and all, who fear walking on streets, hope to make them safer, and is willing to change the existing conditions to participate in this campaign for pedestrian rights. (2/3)

Pedestrians fall inferior in the priority pyramid of street users. This attitude reflects in our urban laws & regulations wherein pedestrians are rarely mentioned, let alone protected. It is high time we, the pedestrians, raise our voices to demand the priority we deserve. (1/3)

We, the pedestrians, constantly adjust to different moods of the traffic. We walk against its flow, we silently meander through the vehicular chaos to cross the street. And yet, here we are, getting ourselves killed, three times a week! #Roadsafety @timesofindia @ahmedabadmirror

One of the cleanest rivers in the world. It is in India. River Umngot, 100 Kms from Shillong, in Meghalaya state. It seems as if the boat is in air; water is so clean and transparent. Wish all our rivers were as clean. Hats off to the people of Meghalaya.

This happens in every city. There is only reason for this: the “leaders” that make these decisions cannot imagine themselves or their family in a bus. Policy making in AC rooms results in bus being compromised in every city #BusIsTheUndisputedKingOfCity

Funding #MetroRail is fine but why step-motherly treatment for #TSRTC which serves 10 times more #passengers in city (especially from lower income groups)? @KTRTRS @TelanganaCMO @tsrtcmdoffice @TSRTCHQ @HiHyderabad @DonitaJose deccanchronicle.com/nation/current…

You can never grow in your 'comfort zone'. Move to the 'growth zone'. Cross the dark 'Fear Zone'. Do something that you wanted to do but always hesitated. Do it TODAY! Dare to dream!👍 (Image credit: Dr. Pandi Durai, IFS)

We often criticise government for lack of planning and coordination. For valid reasons. But here is a case where Government is being proactive & progressive. Makes me happy! This is a “guidance” to the ORR IT companies that employ lakhs but also cause congestion on 6 lanes. (1/n)

Bus users are not on social media. Not in proportion. They are seen as second class citizens by entitled citizens that think occupying public space for driving & parking is their birth right. But they also want traffic problem to go away! Public transport is for “others”

@ragubengaluriga @CMofKarnataka @kiranshaw @BMTC_BENGALURU @Namma_ORRCA @srinualavilli @RevathyAshok @tdkarnataka @tarauk Roads are cleared all the time for VIPs to pass through; no one says anything then. If there are separate lanes for buses (which encourage more people to travel by bus, reduce pollution, etc), it's a problem? So easy to always target the poor.
