It captures more of polytropos than “complicated” or “cunning.” Plus Mercury was the god of travel, so it means a travelin’ man, too.

I think the contemporary peer of the cucumbers on eyes are under-eye patches, but I miss the cucumbers.

Reading a book on this Fourth of July on a replica of the desk on which Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence that I had a wonderful carpenter in Jefferson’s native Virginia make.
Jefferson designed this “writing box” himself, and its ingenuity lies in its expanded surface and the drawer in which you can keep documents.
