@dorothyjberry @cooperhewitt Same. Another creative approach to visualizing metadata is MIA. They show the size of the work compared to a baseball: collections.artsmia.org/art/103709/hat…. I’ve heard mixed reviews on this but A+ for thinking beyond the cat card.

Museum friends who have left the field: how did you find a different job? As sad as I am about potentially leaving the museum world, I cannot continue to stay at my current job, the museum job market is bleak and I don't even know where to begin to look for something else.

Sharing the diversity of content wouldn’t have been possible without curators interpreting (and answering last min) emails, and @sherribee’s team being data-sharing heroes.

I was tangentially involved—@ModupeLabode , @cmmphd , & Tsione Wilde-Michael did the hard work, the writers wrote great pieces, @leslieposter edited, and @historyshack brought it to digital life—but even being tangentially involved is a point of much pride americanhistory.si.edu/blog/many-tuls…

@SheilaABrennan I'm in the same boat! So many emails, so many schedules, so many platforms...

The need for distractions at this time of year may have influenced my choices.

Next week, I will attempt to virtually attend 3 conferences. I like having these available to me. And yet, I'm not sure I can keep track of the multiple platforms & Slacks I am now to subscribed to that are different from my day job platforms.
