🚨 Zohran Mamdani is now the most popular leader in America — surpassing Donald Trump. Thumbs up 👍 if you agree.

@EdKrassen Stalin, Lenin and Hitler gave good speeches too. That’s not a measuring stick. His rhetorics are dangerous. He is everything what this country been fighting against for 259 years. He need to be deported

New York City Mayor Mamdani just gave one of the most amazing speeches you will ever hear: "We are told that America is exceptional because we are richer, stronger, and more powerful than everyone else. "The truth, my friends, is that America is exceptional because here, nothing is fixed into place. The frontier may be closed. We may have walked on the moon. But the work of fulfilling the values first enshrined in the Declaration of Independence — that work endures, and it belongs to us all. "It belongs, too, to our newest Americans: those standing here with me today, all of whom were recently naturalized. Nearly a decade ago, I, too, felt what you feel: the joy of no longer being just a New Yorker, but an American, too. "You each hold a special power: the power to determine what America means. "The powerful have always known their answer. America, in their view, is an arena of supremacy where only a select few are allowed freedom; where not all are created equal. America, if you ask them, becomes less the more people it welcomes. America, they will tell you, belongs only to those with the right accent or the right shade of skin. The rest of us, they insist, should be grateful for merely being allowed to visit. "How small they are. How weak. How unoriginal. "At every moment in our past, those who led through exclusion and isolation have tried to win power and enrich themselves by turning us against one another. Division is the oldest trick in politics — and the cheapest. "But time and again, including 250 years ago, those forces of division have been vanquished by the forces of progress."

Not to be dramatic or anything but I would be in favor of a constitutional amendment just to allow this man to run for President.

Mamdani: The powerful have always known their answer. America, in their view, is an arena of supremacy, where only a select few are allowed freedom, where not all are created equal. America, if you ask them, becomes less the more people it welcomes. America, they will tell you, belongs only to those with the right accent or the right shade of skin. The rest of us, they insist, should be grateful for merely being allowed to visit. How small they are, how weak, how unoriginal.  At every moment in our past, those who led through exclusion and isolation have tried to win power and enrich themselves by turning us against one another. Division is the oldest trick in politics, and the cheapest. But time and again-including 250 years ago-those forces of division have been vanquished by the forces of progress. And yet today, too many of our leaders do not believe in a vision of this nation as an asylum for the persecuted-but rather as one that persecutes those seeking asylum. As we mark 250 years, what do we see?  We see a city of contradictions within a nation of contradictions. We see the wealthiest country in the history of the world— one where children go to sleep hungry while the world's first trillionaire hungers for more. We see monopolies that dominate every industry and oligarchs who buy elections. We see masked agents terrorizing our streets, eating food cooked by our undocumented neighbors before spiriting them away in unmarked vans. We see a nation whose immense wealth has been built by those with calloused, dirt-streaked hands —those who toil on factory floors and chisel into stone —and we see a nation that has allowed so much of that wealth to be held instead in the soft hands of a precious few.

JUST IN: NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani used America’s 250th anniversary to sharply criticize the country, accusing the U.S. of allowing children to go hungry while billionaires and “oligarchs” gain more power. He said America’s wealth was built by working people with “calloused, dirt-streaked hands" while accusing the country of allowing the wealth built by workers to be concentrated in “the soft hands of a precious few.”

@PopBase Someone needs to explain to me how on earth those teams are playing in the knockout stage of the World Cup? That is beyond me. Neither deserved to even be there to begin with. This is result of FIFA expansion. Shame. There is no Italy or Denmark, but those two shitty teams

The NHL completely ruined the league with expansion teams Hurricanes and Golden Knights: two teams whose history began in 1997 and 2017 have made 6 Stanley Cup Finals with 2 wins between them and another coming this year The league has failed its traditional franchises

🚨 WATCH: Karmelo Anthony’s grandmother riles up the crowd by REPEATEDLY screaming “RACIST, BIASED, PREJUDICED” as she left the courthouse “They sent a MESSAGE that a white person can hit a black boy and get away with it! They can do whatever the F—K they want!” This entire family is disgusting. It’s pretty clear where Karmelo learned to behave the way he did.

So Jaxson Dart gets to publicly express his political beliefs, but Abdul Carter doesn’t? If this is about locker room sanctity and leadership, is it a good idea for the face of the franchise to attend a political rally for a president that is considered to be hugely divisive?
Lawrence Tynes@lt4kicks

The locker room is a sacred place because it brings together everyone from all walks of life and beliefs for one common goal. Calling a teammate out publicly for his political views and to get attention is nasty work.
