After adjusting for confounders, we estimate a 32% reduced risk of hospitalization in HV.1 patients compared to other variants over the same time period (p-val 0.02). (We adjusted for health system, age group, sex, race/ethnicity, date, and COVID vaccination status.)

HV.1 is dominant, and is growing in frequency. But it may be leading to less severe infections. @my_helix's epi monitoring data suggests HV.1 is associated with a 10% (29/286) rate of hospitalization compared to 16% (393/2,501) for other variants, including EG.5 (p-val 0.01).
