Charlotte (freshman/goalie) and her Newsome Wolves finished off the regular season with a victory. Charlotte recorded her second shutout of the season in goal, but came up 2 saves shy of the Newsome regular season record, though she did set the record for most saves per game (she played 3 less games than the record holder). My favorite stat line - she cleared the ball over 100 times during the regular season and committed only one turnover off a clear. #NonGolfHistory

Wait a hot second…didn’t Riggs admit in his video that he told everyone to stand down? Am I remembering that wrong? I put out a tweet earlier, that I took down because my intent was not to go super negative, but this walk is 100% revisionist. What is this? Just say, “I overreacted and I was wrong.” Then the world moves on…but this feels more like a double down.

@NormalDudesGC I am very progressive when it comes to golf fashion- as long as it works for the course or club I am fine. Play a muni in a t-shirt…no issue. The more golfers the better the game does in the future.

@SHistorians Unfortunately the shrink crowd has a black and white approach. You’re either with or against in their eyes. I think I’m speaking for most normal people when I say this, just behave and keep pace. The logo on your shirt and your score relative to par aren’t feeding your family

For the record the most overused phrase on Golf Twitter is “SHRINK THE GAME.” Everytime I read it I cringe.

I wrote an (not yet published) article for Golf Club Atlas’ upcoming publication about Dr. Alister MacKenzie’s Utilitarian Era. Fewer bunkers and more reliance on land formations as a form of strategy and defense of the golf course. I truly believe it might have helped change the course of golf design had he had more time to explore this period of his career. He did so much with less bunkering. #GolfHistory @TheMasters @21golfclub
