Imagine that you finally secure an invite to play Seminole this weekend and it’s 30 degrees. Or Augusta and it snows. Or any elite club in the Southeast this past week. Anyone know anyone with a story like this?

The sad Augusta National invite stories are real. We met an older gentleman at Sand Hills. His life golf goal was to play the Top 30 courses. He had 2 Augusta invites. One lost to a freak snow storm. One lost to the Augusta Riots. His host passed away and he never got another invite. Don’t get me wrong, that’s still ten lifetimes of golf blessings. Few will play one or two of the top 30 courses in the USA, much less 29. But still, has to hurt. When you get the invite, take it. You never know when the next one could come.
