Some recovery after the disastrous Jan-Mar qtr. Still a lot to do before things get even close to sane (Smaller accts rcvrd much faster). Did all possible blunders I could in March. Would still be Ok to lose 30% if market tanked 20% in a month (given I am basically a leveraged investor), but that extra 10% DD made things much more painful. Mistakes made, lessons learnt. Ontowards becoming a better version of self.

When you invest in mutual funds, you’re actually increasing your costs. What mutual funds do is take your money, invest in quality stocks from the Nifty 200 and Nifty 500 with good earnings visibility, and then charge you fees to generate around 20–21% CAGR. With ₹10 lakhs, you can also build your own portfolio of 10–20 quality smallcap and microcap stocks. Invest 5–10% in each and keep a 20% stop-loss. If any stock hits the stop-loss, simply move that capital to a new one. By managing your own portfolio this way, you can replicate what mutual funds do - and potentially earn even better returns, with lower costs.
