@Paari_Athouba The equation is quite simple now. 2 secessionist communities don't want Manipur to break while making it impossible for the nationalist Kukis to be under the same administration with them. Make Manipur into 2 UTs - 1 for Kukis and the other for Nagas + Meiteis.

This moment is a turning point for the Indigenous peoples of Manipur. What was intended to divide us through fear, violence, and the weaponisation of ethnicity is instead bringing the people closer together in unity and political resolve. From Imphal, a collective voice is rising against Chin-Kuki narco-terror networks and against every proxy structure that has been used to destabilise our homeland for political and strategic interests. The people now clearly see the larger design behind the conflict, and they are refusing to be manipulated any longer. Those who believed they could redraw the destiny of this land through intimidation and externally-backed aggression have fundamentally misread the history, civilisation, and spirit of Manipur. No group lacking historical legitimacy or moral standing can bargain away the future of this ancient land. The Great Puya spoke of a time when divided blood brothers would once again stand together after collision and suffering. That time has arrived. The Indigenous communities of Manipur are awakening with a shared understanding, to defend the land, preserve its civilisational identity, and resist every form of exploitation, occupation, and engineered division. This is no longer merely a conflict over territory. It is a struggle for dignity, truth, survival, and freedom.

Meiteis think we'd be furious that the word 'Kuki' isn't inscribed on this piece of shit. Well, we're not. What you're not aware of is the fact that by erecting this crap & excluding us, you're only acknowledging our indigeneity to Kukiland and not Manipur. So, thank you 🙏

On the Observance of World Indigenous Peoples’ Day 2025 Today, as we gather to honour the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, we stand united in dignity and purpose. Organized by the Working Group of World Indigenous Day in Delhi, this observance brings together Indigenous representatives, scholars, and community members from both Delhi and Manipur, including delegates from all 24 Indigenous tribes of Manipur. This year’s momentum draws directly from the 18th Session of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP) in Geneva, held from 14 to 18 July 2025, where global Indigenous voices ours included converged to advance our rights. During EMRIP Session 2025 held on 14-18 July, at United Nations Geneva, I had the privilege to participate in critical dialogues covering several pivotal themes: • International Decade of Indigenous Languages (2022–2032): We pressed for urgent, coordinated action from UNESCO and States to move beyond rhetoric from preserving languages to funding revitalization, documentation, and education in Indigenous tongues. • Enhancing Indigenous Participation in the UN: I joined discussions that underlined the necessity of our meaningful participation not just in events, but in preparatory processes, negotiations, and monitoring implementation. We reaffirmed that Indigenous representatives must lead authentically through their own institutions. These engagements have not only deepened international solidarity but also enriched our national dialogue with global reflections. At home, we continue to witness region-specific challenges: • Insufficient implementation of the Decade of Indigenous Languages (2022–2032), with limited state-backed revitalization efforts. • The reductive categorization of diverse Northeastern Indigenous communities into broad constitutional labels like “Scheduled Tribes,” which obscures their distinct identities and histories. • A constitutional framework that often fails to honour the rightful, dignified status of Indigenous identities, especially those from the Northeast. Our observance today will feature cultural performances, storytelling, and intergenerational dialogues that reaffirm the continuity and vitality of Indigenous identities. Involving youth and students at the forefront, this celebration reaffirms a collective commitment to justice, dignity, and cultural pride. We celebrate Manipur as one of South and Southeast Asia’s oldest living Indigenous civilizations, a vibrant ensemble of Meetei heritage, rooted in Meetei Mayek, Cheitharol Kumbaba, and Sanamahi faith, interwoven with the traditions of tribal communities like the Anal, Aimol, Liangmai, Rongmei, Kabui, Poumai, Tangkhul, Mao, Kom, Maring etc. This plural civilization, forged on the Indo–Myanmar frontier, preserved a distinct Indigenous core while engaging in regional exchange. Amid mounting threats like assimilation, militarization, and dispossession, Manipur’s story demands global recognition not as a peripheral region, but as a sovereign Indigenous world upheld by its communities for centuries. Today, grounded in lessons from Geneva and driven by our own heritage, we renew this call: let the international community uphold the dignity, rights, and self-determined future of Manipur’s Indigenous Peoples, who have safeguarded their land, language, and traditions across generations. May this observance strengthen our collective resolve, amplify Indigenous voices, and secure our rightful place in both national and global discourses. Thank you🙏 @UNHumanRights @UN @UNinIndia @UNESCO @UN

.@vualzong And I would request Sir Dharun Kumar, the DC of Churachandpur, to insist that he calls you a minai. Also, great progress in your tweet as you are now referring to Churachandpur by its original name, and not by the Myanmarese 5 letter word beginning with L. #Imphal: Security forces in #Manipur have intensified taking up measures across #farming zones following recent #attacks on #farmers, as authorities work to prevent further violence during the ongoing #cultivation season. The move follows a spike in violence, including an incident on June 19 in which a 60-year-old #Meitei #farmer was shot while working in a #paddyfield at Phubala in #Bishnupurdistrict. #Farmers #ManipurCrisis Read more: ukhrultimes.com/manipur-tighte…

Even a professor can spread misinformation. Not every tribal shawl is a Kuki shawl. For your kind information, I think the shawl in question is a traditional Sambalpuri shawl of the Odisha tribes, not a Kuki shawl. To the Kuki professor from JNU, please stop spreading such misleading claims. Let us also remember that the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, herself hails from Odisha and proudly represents its rich tribal heritage.

Isn't it striking that the Meitei community's inflexible stance has led to a longstanding denial of rights for the tribal population in Manipur? Their persistent efforts to disrupt the delimitation process and undermine constitutional rights of the tribal are shameful. Doesn't this highlight the urgency of recognizing the Kuki-Zo community's legitimate demand for UT with legislative power. @AmitShah @AmitShahOffice @PMOIndia @blsanthosh @sambitswaraj

Is the Hon'ble Union Home Minister Shri @AmitShah ji considering granting amnesty to the radicalized Meitei armed militia group, #ArambaiTenggol, despite their alleged involvement in burning over 350 churches and killing hundreds of innocent Kuki-Zo minority Christians civilians, including women and children? Furthermore, this group is reportedly wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for looting more than 6,000 automatic rifles and 600,000 ammunition.

Churachandpur is a Meitei name, given after Maharaj Churachand Singh. Before that, there was no record of it being called 'Lamka.' If the name itself isn’t ancestral to the Kukis, how can the land be? History should be based on facts, not narratives. Thoughts? #Manipur #History

The Meiteis are financing poppy cultivation operated by the Kukis in hills of Manipur captured by the Kukis. Previously, the Meiteis also funded the Kukis for procuring advanced weaponry from foreign nations in order to enable the Kukis to launch a series of fatal attacks on the Meiteis. Kukis are the original Hindus, the lost tribe of Israel. Hence proved! This is Kuki Matrix! #SaveMeiteis #SaveManipur #ManipurCrisis #KukiNarcoTerrorism
