Why is everyone on Facebook dumb. I scrolled for about 1 hour to see if it was any good. Probably the only social media site where you can’t doom scroll and using it feels like a chore

Colleges are still teaching students to write code from scratch. That's like teaching people to hand-wash clothes in a world full of washing machines. The skill isn't writing code anymore. It's knowing what to build and why. No university has a degree for that.

My issue with AI artists is not that the AI sucks. It's that they have enormous standards for artists for artists while simultaneously praises a mediocre output. I often see "humans make slop too". Yes, that's true. But the difference is that humans can make more than just slop. Maybe in the future AI will make masterpieces, and AI is definitely increasing the standard for human artists; but AI is not at that point yet. tldr; lets be nice to artists because they are capable of amazing things, and AI currently can't make amazing things yet. The standards are higher, and I can't wait to see if artists meet those standards

I'm starting to realize that the thing that slows my learning more than anything is focusing on doing things "the right way" rather than just doing it.

If AI is going to replace everyone, then why are we replacing coders? We should be creating infrastructure to support the 99% who wont be able to get jobs once robots and AI can do everything.
