Maxx loves his craft and loves playing. Of course, he's going to be pissed being benched. If it was Pete's decision he would have played but management wanted to protect against further damage to his knee, wanted to evaluate the rooks, and wasn't going to cry in the process if we lost the game with the #1 pick at stake. At the time 100% agreed with the move for many reasons. What if the Raiders were playoff bound and the last two games were meaningless with regards to who they played in the playoffs. Under that scenario it would be smart to bench him as well. All the wonderful things that are happening for the Raiders getting the HC they wanted all happened because we got the number one pick. No #1 pick and we would be sitting in obscurity and we would be a lifeless franchise blowing in the wind! That's far from the case now. All eyes are on this team now. This is fantastic for us and the buzz is a future boom for the NFL. Once Mendoza is picked and officially signs a Raiders contract his merchandise will set a new Raiders and NFL record. I assure you, Raiders fans will dominate the attendance for the first time at every Raiders game at Allegiant Stadium next year! As a song says, "The sun will come out tomorrow". Go Raiders!
