Thanks to @neesoglasnaja’s idea and @nanot1m’s implementation you can now get rid of the cursor while presenting! In 5s of inactivity it’ll disappear in silly-named “pointless” mode. But once you move the cursor it’ll get back to you. Try it yourself! shwr.me

Thanks to @jag_k_ you can now use touch to navigate slides with the latest shower-core@3.2.0. Tap any slide to start, tap the right/left side of the screen to move forward/backward, tap the screen with three fingers to exit full screen mode.

Make sure you have the latest versions of the core and themes packages so they could seamlessly work together. If you have any questions feel free to file an issue github.com/shower/shower/…

Apart from fixing PDF export, it opens the possibility for the future theme development. In the next major Ribbon and Material releases slides in the list mode will be flexible and use the whole window space. Also, there’s touch support coming up, but more on that later.

Some Shower updates got released last night. Now you can export your slides to PDF from the full screen mode! With core 3.1.0, ribbon 3.4.0, material 2.4.0 the scaling method has changed: now it’s calculated in a custom property that’s applied right in CSS only when needed.

We’re getting closer to Core 3.0 release! You can already test the beta @shower/core/v/3.0.0-0" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">npmjs.com/package/@showe… and file bugs and issues here github.com/shower/shower/… We’re also in the process of cleaning up the issues list, many of them were fixed in 3.0.

Built-in Shower template scripts (pdf, start, prepare, archive, publish) are now based on the brand new Shower CLI tool by @ngovorov_en and can also be installed and used separately for creating your new slides by running “shower create” in console. See github.com/shower/cli

A bunch of updates coming you way: marked tables rows, multiple headers, gray slide type, new samples for Ribbon shwr.me/shower/themes/… and Material shwr.me/shower/themes/… themes, updated Shower template, new CLI tool, and Core 3.0 beta. Read more in the thread below.

Both themes are now published under our organization on npm: @​shower/ribbon, @​shower/material. Old shower-ribbon and shower-material themes won’t be updated anymore. We’ll slowly start moving all official packages to @​shower/package structure and deprecate shower-package ones.

@RaphaelSaunier @LeBenLeBen Well, PDF export is quite easy to achieve: printing in Chrome or shower-cli work just fine github.com/shower/shower/… The rest is true, but once you’ll need live demo we’ll be waiting for you to come back :)

@LeBenLeBen @shower_me github.com/shower/shower works well and was fun to play with but I also went back to Keynote for most presentations (main reasons: speaker notes, PDF export, editing on mobile, fine-grained control over transitions, ...)

Meet major Ribbon 3.0 and Material 2.0 themes releases! There’s no Sass, Gulp or any build process used anymore. They just work using good old imports and modern vanilla CSS. You don’t need anything but text editor and browser to start building your presentation or adjust themes.
