UNPOPULAR OPINION: After checking with multiple sites, including Ground News (170+ sources) my conclusion regarding Mitch McConnell's news release is as follows: There are countless AI-enhanced and fake photos circulating on social media right now. The officially released photo, which I include, is NOT AI generated, nor published in 2023 (feel free to prove me wrong with a link. I have not found one). The newspaper is blurry but image and text spacing corresponds to Sunday's sports section of the Washington Post. (Also included) Is this proof McConnell is alive AND well? No. Same rule applies: prove me wrong with a fact-checking site and I take down the post. Or: retweet. Follow for more skepticism and in-depth analyses.

@shrimp6000 @jbillinson Yeah, I used to work in VFX and the highlight under the finger that I think is supposed to be touching the paper feels wrong. I'd need another angle. But why would you do this if you have to announce that he's dead later? It makes no sense. None of it does.
