Late last night, I got an unexpected message from a very cool @ycombinator founder (screenshot below). He’s building something very close to what we’re building at tryhermes.dev and asked me to join him as a co-founder. It was a real opportunity. And yeah, I want YC. Hermes is growing fast every day. But I said no (I wish I could help). Because what makes Hermes work isn’t just the idea, it’s the team (YC says too :) @knuceles and @behergl are the people I: • stay up all night debugging with • skip class to onboard users with • talk to customers with nonstop • push through the hardest days with We’ve built trust under pressure. Shared history. Momentum you can’t just recreate. Ideas can overlap. Teams don’t. So I passed on something exciting to keep building with the people I trust most in the dark moments.
