The post fog filter is weird this year (no idea if this will change) because it's very much ever-present, and then there's a key episode where they completely drop it (you'll know what I mean) and then when they bring it back it's like a jump scare.

Born Again S2 starts off feeling very much like the "solid" episodes of Born Again. Which, to me, lacked all the soul that made the Netflix show so special. It's doing so much leg work to de-sterilize the world, add back authentic grit and texture to the supporting characters that were purely exposition machines in S1, so certain moments and beats feel "off". The first few episodes had me scared that this series would continue to feel like damage control for bad boardroom choices. But... Once you hit the mid point, it completely evolves and morphs into, not just a love letter (blatant apology) to the original series (you guys won't believe me until you see it), but a new beast entirely. Setting the course for a completely new era that takes the best of old, while establishing a fresh path. Allowing the world and the characters to not just be stale imitations with too many limitations, but to be, truly, "Born Again". The back half had me smiling ear to ear. Expect a vague mostly non-spoiler video sometime in April.

As somebody who’s in their early 20s and unsure of what’s going on, I really need a movie like this rn.

I don't hate the She-Hulk suit, nor hate the show, and this would be awesome, if it was hinted at directly, metaphorically, or emotionally, in the slightest. Pretty sure at this point in time they were trying to act like the Netflix show wasn't exactly canon.

The problem with whoever they cast as DCU Batman is that he won't be Robert Pattinson, who, by a long shot, to me, is just the perfect Batman. And, probably the most interesting actor outside Batman, to play Batman.
