Our new paper is out in Genes & Development! We found that a small domain in PRC2 — the SBD — isn't just structural scaffolding. It's a mechanical switch that powers the whole complex. Remove it, and cancers driven by EZH2 mutations stop growing. 🧵

@aventura71 I’d recommend TransComp-R (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32753478/) my understanding is that it projects mouse RNA-Seq into human PCA space to find closest neighbors. We used it to match RNA-Seq from IBD patients to mouse data. @DougBrubaker can probably offer a more detailed answer on this.

#ScienceTwitter suppose I have RNAseq data from a mouse tumor and I want to know to what human tumor it is most similar. Is there an available computational tool to do that?

@aventura71 @DougBrubaker The original paper combined mouse proteomics with human RNASeq. It also worked with combining RNASeq from both species in our other paper pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34849469/
