Gen Z protests leave 30 dead and over 1,000 injured Health Ministry reports hundreds hospitalised across 28 facilities nationwide. KATHMANDU, Sept 10 The Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed that 30 people have died and 1,033 others sustained injuries during the Gen Z-led protests that took place on Monday and Tuesday. According to data released on Wednesday evening, 713 injured have already been discharged from hospitals, while 55 patients were referred to other facilities and 253 were newly admitted. Civil Service Hospital is treating the highest number of patients, with 436 under care, followed by the National Trauma Centre with 161 and Everest Hospital with 109, the ministry of health said. In total, treatment is being provided across 28 hospitals nationwide. The ministry said emergency services are being mobilised to handle the influx of patients and urged hospitals to remain on high alert.
